With the help of a doll or stuffy, learners will pique and plie through The Ugly Duckling: a fun story of friendship, feathers, and following your heart. We will begin with a lite technical warm up that includes an introduction to French ballet terminology, then move on to dancer + doll partner stretches. After listening to the story, we will pause to discuss and ensure the plot is clear, as narrative ballets can sometimes be murky. The remainder of class will be spent on ballet-based drama and movement games, set to a mixture of musical styles.
