Kiddos who love Disney princesses and crafting will enjoy a course focused on both! Each week, princess-loving students listen to a Disney Princess book, and make a related craft. For instance, one week they may listen to "Ariel Is My Babysitter" and make a clam shell "bookmark". Another week they may listen to "Mulan" and make a paper plate fan; or to "The Princess and The Frog" and color a paper crown. Students don't need to be able to read independently to enjoy this class. In fact, that's what we will work on during class! During reading, we'll focus on a certain letter; for example, "S", or letters in the princess' names, capital (big) or lowercase (small) letters, or look for sight words or rhyme; or count syllables. Other times we will talk about opposites, capital letters, colors, shapes, or something else. There is occasionally an optional worksheet to go with classes, for example, tracing letters. Kids can work on their craft while I read or after, or both! We'll read one book and make one craft per ongoing class. This is a relaxing and fun class for students that also mixes in some literacy. :) September 22 Isabel's School Adventure (Elena of Avalor) & Crackled Gems September 29 Teacher's Pets (various) & Apple Craft October 13 A Fairy Tale Fall & Leaf Wreath October 20 A Sweet and Spooky Halloween & Jack-o-Lantern Craft October 27 Sweets and Treats & Candy Corn Cupcake Craft November 4 Travel Like a Princess (various) & Princess Luggage Tag Craft November 11 My Own Carriage (various) & Carriage Craft November 18 Goodnight, Princesses (various) & Matchbox Bed Craft Bayou Keeps the Beat (Tiana, Palace Pets) & Firefly Craft Wish Upon a Star & Star Wand Ariel is My Babysitter & Seashell Bookmark Craft
