Welcome Dino explorers! I will use a variety of song, dance, images, videos and toys to teach about the dinosaurs. I will use directed questions to allow all students opportunities to interact throughout the class. I encourage learners to interact with each other during several short ‘Dino play’ parts of the class. During this time the Dino explorers are encouraged to play with their dinosaurs in imaginative play with their friends (and Miss Harris because she just can’t miss out on all the fun!) and I will frequently instigate loud dinosaur role play. I will use show and tell to improve learners confidence in public speaking and turn taking. I have a 2 and 4 year old who are both obsessed with dinosaurs! They have become an interest for me too. I have so much fun teaching my children about dinosaurs, I cannot wait to share this with my classes. Learners are encouraged to have their dinosaur toys to hand so they can use them to identify features with me and for show and tell! This will be quite an interactive and maybe loud lesson. I do quite enjoy the occasional loud roar from my learners (I'm sure you'll hear mine a few times too!) and I will actively encourage singing and dancing. So be close, but not in a Zoom work meeting!

Participants will have a weekly play session with new friends. This is a very sociable and interactive class.
Students will improve their knowledge about dinosaurs. They should be able to recall some features and facts about todays dinosaur as well as experience a fun social lesson. Students will be encouraged to interact thoughtfully and respectfully.
Week 1- triceratops and t-rex
Week 2- stegosaurus and velociraptor
Week 3- spinosaurus and diplodocus
Week 4- Pachycephalosaurus and pterosaurs
