Students will explore what it is like to be a veterinarian! This class is discussion based with participation encouraged. We will discuss some of the types of veterinary practices there are including small animal, equine, zoo and more! I absolutely love teaching veterinary science topics and teaching about animals! I have been a certified veterinary technician for many years, have an MEd from Colorado State University and I am now finishing up my second Master’s program and will have a Master of Veterinary Education (MVEd) from Lincoln Memorial University’s School of Veterinary Medicine by spring 2024. I am passionate about helping people care for their animals the best they can! I have been an instructor at a local college in a nationally accredited veterinary assistant program and have previously taught a variety of classes for kids on campus in the Excursions in Learning program.
