The more our children write, the better they become at it, and they might even start to enjoy the process more. In this class, we'll start by exploring different kinds of writing and working on important writing skills. After that, students will get to practice what they've learned by responding to prompts that will get their creative juices flowing.

During our sessions, I'll guide the students in crafting interesting paragraphs that grab the reader's attention right from the start. We'll also spend time on revising and editing, which are key parts of becoming a good writer. Since every student comes from a different writing background, I'll make sure to tailor my approach to meet each one where they're at, helping them grow in a supportive environment.

My teaching philosophy is all about helping kids make progress little by little, with kindness every step of the way. Most importantly, I want to boost their confidence and make them feel good about writing. We'll work together in brainstorming sessions to come up with topic sentences and supporting ideas, building a sense of teamwork and learning from each other.

There is plenty of flexibility in this class. If students need more time or want to take the class again, there are always new prompts to keep things fresh and exciting. This way, everyone can keep improving at their own pace.  If you can't join me every week, just join when you can. A few of them build upon the previous week and you may want your learner to take both those classes.
