このクラスで学べること
In this 4-week class, students are able to get direct help with their short stories. Whether students have a first draft complete, just a general idea for a story, or anywhere in between, we will work directly with their ideas or material. The structure of this class is flexible. It is limited to three students, so each students gets plenty of personalized attention in areas such as plot, setting, dialogue, characterization, epiphany, etc. For example, I may be working with one student for about five minutes, while another student is building a dialogue we just discussed, and another is working on how to create a flashback. Perhaps the best part of this class is students discussing their work with each other. Students are encouraged to share their work, and offer ideas to other students.

I have over twenty years' experience in education. I began my career as an English teacher working with students in grades 6-8. I also have experience in school administration as a K-8 principal.
I believe learning should and can be fun. I know there are students who don't like to read or write, not to mention how they would feel about a grammar lesson. This can be overcome, however, by establishing a rapport with the student where he or she feels comfortable taking chances and making mistakes. This does not happen overnight, but when a student builds confidence in an area where he or she has struggled, he or she can begin to accept, and even enjoy the subject.
After my years in public education I pursued my dream of turning my hobby into a business and opened a record store. I am proud to say I am celebrating the 2nd anniversary of the store, and it is going strong.レビュー
