In this four week, eight class workshop for young writers, I will be going over a bunch of tips and tricks as to how to create a character to use in stories. Often, students have big ideas for a character, but are discouraged from writing because it's hard to decide exactly how to make that character seem "real". This is a three day class, so each day will be another step in how to develop a character that any reader would easily get attached to. Mainly, students will learn valuable tools...
Students will learn how to build a compelling character and how to use the same strategies learned here for character-building in the future. By the end of the three days, students should feel very confident about the character they've made.
I am a teacher with 10+ years of experience in ESL, foreign language, and writing.
