This high school Creative Writing curriculum is designed to immerse students in a variety of writing genres and techniques, fostering their creativity and honing their skills throughout the academic year. In the later months, they will explore experimental writing and new media, where they can blend visual elements with text and create digital projects. The curriculum culminates in May with the creation of a writing portfolio, allowing students to revise, polish, and showcase their work. The final weeks in June are dedicated to reflecting on their growth and presenting their final projects. This comprehensive approach ensures that students not only develop their writing abilities but also gain confidence in sharing their work with others, preparing them for future opportunities in writing and publication.
