Looking for a class to take during summer vacation. This summer camp is great to continue learning while having fun doing it. In this class, students will learn skills to help them improve their writing ability. Storytellers are always looking for ideas and inspiration to keep their creative juices flowing. I designed this class to do just that. Inspire and coax new ideas. Each week will be centered on specific genre. Students will learn about the genre and try using tips and tricks that work well when creating a story in that particular genre. The four core creative genres we will learn about are: Fiction, Creative Non-fiction, Poetry, and Drama. 

Class time will included a game or activity, a brief slide show about the weekly genre, a writing prompt or exercise, and time to share or discuss their work. I strive to create a positive learning environment for all students. I encourage students to share their work on their own comfort level. All students are encouraged to share their thoughts and creative writing masterpieces. However, this is not required in class. Students can participate in this class and gain knowledge from it without sharing their personal work.

As a writer myself, I always strive to find ways to inspire or evoke new ideas in my writing. I would love to share that with my students through this creative writing camp. My goal is to give your learners the tools they need to be successful writers, while also creating a fun learning environment for them to enjoy.
