Star Wars is a book/movies series that has withstood the test of time. In this one time class, we will look at different character archetypes(Hero, mentor, good vs evil, etc...) and allegories (hidden meanings). We will watch some videos, have classroom discussion, and instructor lead teaching. Some fun worksheets will be given out after class. Including a fun creative writing activity where your child will create a new Star Wars character that falls under one of the archetypes covered in class or creates an allegory.

We have 4 children aged 15, 13, 10, and 8. When they were really young I used to create nighttime stories for them. I would ask them questions and they would give me characters, settings, and topics. Then I would create a story based on there answers. Recently our two oldest children starting do the same thing for the two younger ones. I've always had a passion for creative writing and story telling. Our family also has a love for movies. I am taking some of the most popular books/movies series and creating creative writing and storytelling classes. No materials for class.
