In this self-paced writing course, students will embark on a journey into the world of character creation. Characters are the heart of any story, and this course provides the tools to create dynamic, memorable figures that resonate with readers. Each lesson features a video (on average 15 minutes) of instructional time, as well as additional time of brainstorming and aiding the student in coming up with ideas for their story. Lesson Topics Physical Appearance: Learn to vividly describe your characters’ looks. Personality Traits: Explore personality traits that define your characters. Feelings/Emotions: Understand how to convey your characters’ inner worlds. Speech: Learn how your characters’ speech and way of speaking reflect their background. Backstory & Other Details: Discover how age, family, hobbies, and goals shape a character. Writing Prompts Each lesson features a picture writing prompt that encourages students to apply what they’ve learned in their very own story, fostering creativity and practical skills.
