In this One Time class, students will learn how to create and edit videos using their iPad or Phone. We will discuss the basics on how you can make simple edits to a video, add text and icons, how to add sound/music/voice recordings, how to crop out unwanted parts in a video, and as well as the fades, and crossovers in order to make the video look professional like the ones on Youtube. Students will have an in-depth understanding of the available privacy settings on YouTube. YouTube forbids children under the age of 13 to create their own accounts, and children between ages 13 and 17 are only allowed to open accounts with parental permission. YouTube now requires creators to label their channels and videos as “made for kids” if the primary audience for their content is children. Content that has a “mixed audience,” but is still directed at children would also fall under this label.
