WELCOME TO WOMEN IN HISTORY!

During each of these classes we will explore a brief biography of different women in history, their life, the society and culture that shaped them, and what contributions they made in their field. We will discuss how their lives would be different if they had been born in different times and cultures and what shaped them into achieving their goals. Different aspects of history will be discussed each week and how this affected each of these amazing women. Multiple perspectives of each woman's actions and affects, both positive and negative, on history will be explored and discussed.

Each week we will explore a different powerful woman from history. The first half of the class will be a powerpoint lecture which may include recordings or videos. The second half of the class will be a guided discussion into what we have learned and our individual thoughts on what they did.
