We will work on measurements, cooking terms, and why following directions while cooking is imperative. We will talk about knife skills, safety around boiling water as well as how to work on a stovetop.
I have been working as a kids enrichment teacher for the last 3 years. I love teaching children and allowing them to create and think outside the box. I have a 9-year-old son who is on the Autism Spectrum, so am a very patient and understanding teacher. I realize all children learn differently and it is imperative to really listen to each child in order for them to feel secure and safe.

Safety is the number one priority when in the kitchen. There will be times when we will be using the stove and it is imperative that the children are safe and have an adult nearby to oversee them during those times. I will be sure to go over how we work around a stove and proper safety measures when cooking on a stove.
