I am a 30-year veteran educator who believes in the capacity of kids to do anything they want! I believe in learning that captures minds and hearts and that makes kids hungry to learn more each and every day. I have extensive experience with kids in the middle, ages 9-16. I have a proven track-record in helping kids grow their confidence and skills in language arts, math, science and social studies. 

I have over 23 years of experience in classroom teaching, tutoring, online teaching, curriculum development, gifted education, and homeschool support. I have been a middle school administrator and worked directing teaching and learning experiences for a district of 4500 students for 5 years.

I am an avid reader and have a knack for helping kids learn to love to read by connecting them with engaging books they can't put down. 

I also have experience helping kids who claim, "I'm just not a math person," learn to love math and build confidence in their abilities to do anything. 

I also love challenging gifted students to grow! Oftentimes, these students lose enthusiasm for and engagement in learning at school because they are not challenged.
