In this one-time class, we'll connect the dots, create a fun dinosaur painting, and learn some fun facts about dinosaurs! 🎨 We'll start class with a warm welcome and icebreaker question, then we'll move on to our project! 🎨 We'll begin by connecting the dots to draw our dinosaur shape. 🎨 Next, we'll paint our dinosaurs. Learners are encouraged to make their dinosaur their own and paint it using any colors they want! 🎨 While our dinosaurs are drying a bit, we'll play a fun true or false trivia game all about dinosaurs. 🎨 Finally, we'll learn how to paint a simple tree and grass to add some details to our paintings. Learners are welcome to add any other details they like to their paintings as well. I love seeing what ideas they come up with! This project is meant to be fun and relaxed. There is no experience required for this class- beginners welcome! I am a patient and positive teacher and I truly believe that everyone can create art! I love seeing learners build their confidence and have fun creating something they're proud of. Everyone's finished product will be different and we celebrate those differences! Also, as a former shy kid myself, I am very understanding of learners who take some time to warm up and there is no pressure in my classes to talk if that isn't comfortable yet. All are welcome here!

Learners may need help gathering materials before class. While adults are reminded to remain off-camera, some learners may need a helping hand on occasion, depending on their skill and comfort level.

- Connect the dots printout (available to enrolled learners). I recommend printing on card stock, if possible - Crayon, marker, or pen to connect the dots - Paints (I'm using Crayola washable paint, but most other types of paints will work too) - Paintbrush - Cup of water for rinsing brush - Rag or paper towel for drying brush

Hello! My name is Ms. Suzanne and I love teaching arts and crafts to young artists. I believe everyone can be an artist! I love working with kids and have done so as a daycare teacher, nanny, school volunteer, and as a mom to my own three kids. I have a BA in linguistics from the University of Florida and I've been doing arts and crafts for as long as I can remember (I even ran my own Etsy shop for awhile!). When I teach arts and crafts projects to young learners, I believe in giving them lots of encouragement to try new things and make mistakes.
