Confident Communicating: Engage, Express, and Excel in English!

Welcome to an exciting journey of language mastery and social growth for your child, led by Teacher Mandy! This weekly "Confident Communicating" class is designed to empower young learners who are developing their English language skills. In this ongoing small group speaking and social class, learners will be encouraged to participate in discussion of every day topics in order to increase their confidence in expressing their opinions, speaking with detail, thinking logically, and learning how to include themselves in conversation. This class will mostly be a discussion based, but there will be picture slides and games to help build on the topics. Students should have a minimum Kindergarten level of English and be able to make sentences and answer basic questions.

The class structure will stay the same each week and students will guide the topics for each week.
⭐Class Structure:⭐
- Introduction: We'll start with a warm welcome and brief orientation to create a friendly atmosphere.
- Warm-up Activity: A fun activity to get kids engaged and excited about the topic.
- Main Discussion: Each child takes turns sharing the topic, providing details and answering questions.
- Group Discussion: An opportunity for group interaction, where children compare and contrast the topic.
- Show and Tell: Students bring and show an item related to the topic
- Choose a topic for the next week

The first week will focus on "Favorite Animals" where they will have the opportunity to discuss their favorite animal. Whether it's a pet, a wild animal or a farm animal this will surely be a fun topic. At the end of each class the students will be given 3 new topics to choose from for the next class or they can choose as a group a topic they are interested in.

  *Favorite foods
  *All about my family
  *Hobbies and interests
  *Favorite book or book character
  * Dreams and Aspirations: What do you want to be when you grow up?
  * What you like and don't like about school
  * Seasons and Weather
  * Favorite places
  * Superheroes, maybe powers you would like
  *And MANY more!

👥 Social Skills for a Lifetime: Beyond language, I foster essential social skills such as giving directions, storytelling, asking questions, and seamlessly joining group conversations. These skills lay the foundation for a lifetime of successful interactions.

🎤 Show and Tell Delight: At the end of each class, your child has the opportunity to share something meaningful to them during our "Show and Tell" session. It's a chance for them to showcase their interests and further enhance their communication skills.
