In this fun class, we will learn about COLORS all around us. No prior knowledge is needed for this class. Does your child already know all the colors? This class gives learners an opportunity to practice and enhance their color recognition in a fun and engaging manner. The teacher will read a book about a cat who loves colors. After the book, learners will have an opportunity to go on an exciting scavenger hunt to find colored objects around the home and share with others. On your mark, get...

I have been a teacher since 1994. I have taught 3rd, 5th, and 6th grades in public schools and am currently a reading and writing interventionist in a middle school. I have privately tutored all ages and have a Bachelor’s Degree in Education with a minor in English. I'm TESOL, TEFOL, and ESL certified. The learner will need colored objects (green, pink, black, red, yellow, purple, brown, blue, white, and orange) to find around the home (red Lego, orange socks, etc.) and their furry feline friend (either their cat or a picture of a cat). 2. Two printable handouts will be provided prior to class. One handout may be used throughout the week to learn, or review, colors. The other handout is an extension activity for learners to review colors (after class).

I will be reading Jane Cabrera's book titled Cat's Colors. In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses Google Slides to present during class.
