Do you have a curious learner who is inquisitive about the world around them? This is a fun and interesting course where children will apply their knowledge and learn awesome facts and be part of a discussion about Climate change and the environment.

As climate scientists are concerned that our planet is heating up, water shortages, a fossil fuel crisis and habitats and the animals and plants that live there are disappearing - what is the human impact on our planet? This class packed with awesome facts help learners think about the human impact upon our planet and how climate change is affecting the way we live.

Week 1

🌎🔥 WHAT IS CLIMATE CHANGE? 🌎🔥

In the first week we will be discussing and learners will be exploring what climate change is. But what is it?
Climate change or global warming refers to long-term shifts in temperatures and weather patterns. These shifts may be natural, such as through variations in the solar cycle. But since the 1800s, human impact and activities have been the main driver of climate change, primarily due to burning fossil fuels like coal, oil and gas.

Climate change fact: Did you know that climate change could be irreversible after 2030?
This summer London, UK experienced record breaking temperatures and people were left sweltering in the heat. The U.K. is not used to such scorching conditions, many houses are designed to keep heat in and air conditioning is not commonplace - could this be down to our changing weather patterns?
