In this spelling class; we are going to have a lot of fun talking about Christmas. Students will receive a paper to print off to use in this class. I will then give 15 clues to the students; they will answer the clues and spell the words together and write the words on their paper. We will use the words we have spelled, take the marked letters, and form the Mystery Question. At the end of class we will talk about the Mystery Question and students will have some fun sharing together. Students will enjoy this class if they can write their letters and have some knowledge of short and long vowel sounds. It will be a fun way to practice spelling and talk about Christmas.

Hello, my name is Parri!
I am so excited to be teaching with Outschool. I hope to teach classes in Phonics, Math, Art, and Sea Glass.
I have been teaching for 28 years; I taught for 25. 5 years in a Brick and Mortar school and for 2.5 years online. I have taught Reading, Language, Phonics, Literature, Spelling, Math, Social Studies, Canadian Studies, and Science. I LOVE teaching Phonics and Reading. Online I have been teaching children ages 4-14 to speak English. I also do tutoring with these ages and in these subjects both online and in person.
I believe teaching should be fun and at the same time assist students to reach their highest potential. I like to teach using games and activities that encourage learning in a fun way! I want my students to know I care about them and their learning.
One of the first classes I hope to teach is one about Sea Glass; I LOVE the beach. Since I was a child, I have been roaming beaches looking for sea glass; I also love making things with the glass too!
