Virtual learning can be a tricky balance when trying to learn, AND have social time with the new friends we make online. One great solution is to give students time to get to know each other. Where the teacher will guide, and encourage students to get to know each other, and have conversations with each other. Learning friendship values are so incredibly important, especially when children are young with sensitive hearts, and limited time to make a new friend. During this class, learners will interact with each other, while they create the art project of choice. Conversations are encouraged, and inclusion will be practiced. WARNING- hilarity might ensue, and giggling may occur. (Isn't that the end goal?) The art is optional- they can also doodle instead. Drawing with chalk, pencils, markers, crayons, oil pastels Painting with watercolors, acrylics, temperas Directed drawing projects Free draw Doodle art No experience required to be a part of class. As a teacher, I believe that while the class will be structured, it should also flow to the learner's interests. If they have ideas for future class topics or art ideas, I will happily listen and make changes as needed. Art may be directed drawing of animals, characters, or places. We may paint with water color, tempera, or acrylic. We can color a coloring page that I can supply prior to class.

Hello! My name is Dina, and I am excited to have you here! First and foremost, I am a mama to 4 kidlings. Most are grown and 3 have left the nest, but I have 1 left at home. I love teaching kids. I love the "aha" on a child's face when they understand a new concept. I love the personalities that I come across. I have been teaching English online for several years to children ages 3-16. I have also been a preschool teacher for over 20 years.
If I could have had another career, I might have been a librarian, because I LOVE reading! Reading is one of my favorite hobbies!
Some of my other hobbies include hiking, gardening, my pets, and cooking!
I believe in finding the spark of curiosity that lives in every child, and encouraging it to grow. I hope to inspire my students through engagement with reading, learning, cooking, a positive mindset, play and laughter.
When I am not teaching classes I am a wedding officiant! I get to marry people~ which is so rewarding and special. :)
I have an ECE degree, a Bachelor of Arts, and a Masters in Business, and a Doctorate in Divinity. I also have my TESOL and TOEFL certifications.
I hope you will be inspired to have a class with me, and I am hopeful your child will have as much fun with me, as I plan to with them!
