In this interactive cooking class, students will create a cool and refreshing Chinese Chicken Salad that is popular in the Hawaiian Islands. Throughout the class students will be learning basic kitchen skills such as measuring, slicing, shredding, tearing and mixing.
I have the experience of making this salad often! You will find this refreshing salad at Hawaii gatherings and potlucks. This crispy, sweet, all in one salad meal is something my family enjoys on a weekly basis!
A detailed list of recipe ingredients will be available upon enrollment. Salad Bowl Measuring spoons Measuring cup Mixing spoon Cutting board Knife Bowl for dressing. You will want to double or triple this recipe for later use) 1/4 Head white cabbage 1/4 Head purple cabbage 1/2-1 whole Romaine lettuce 1 large Carrot 1-2 cooked Chicken breast (Optional) Toasted Sesame Oil Sugar Apple cider vinegar Black pepper Cilantro Green onion Crispy wonton salad topping Or DIY! Slice uncooked wonton wrappers into thin strips, have adult fry until crispy! Refrigerate after cooling.
