Learner picks ANY chemistry topic he or she is wrestling with. I fix the tangling so that the topic is crystal clear. One topic per 60 minute session. Plain and Simple. For example: electron configuration of the elements, balancing equations, unit conversion, the metric system, ideal gas law, etc.

Learner can master just about any Chemistry module topic in 1 or 2 60 minute sessions. I am strong advocate of tactile learning approaches.

I use tactile reinforcement when possible combined with lined pads, #4 pencils, hand calculator and periodic table. Textbooks allowed, but not particularly useful for tutoring.

Hands On Science, Math, Music and Art are my specialties. I worked as a Distinguished Member of the Technical Staff at Bell Labs; the R&D arm of the once Bell Telephone System. After retiring early from Bell Labs I pursued my interest in becoming an elementary school teacher in NJ focusing on science and math for grades K - 6. I have teaching certifications in both NJ and VA. Now retired yet again I look forward to using hands on learning with "stuff" I have accumulated over the decades to engage and entertain.
