Let me know if you would like grades, or just a certificate of completion. Every week/module there are worksheets (search-a-word and crossword puzzle), a mini activity, and a Quizizz to complete. The worksheets are worth one point each. The mini activity is worth 2 points. For the quiz, each question in the quiz is worth 1 point (points vary per module). The grade in the class will be based on the total number of points. All the students who participate will also receive a certificate of completion.この文章は自動翻訳されています

In this 9 module self paced class, we will dive... deep down into the depths of the ocean. We will look at a variety of cephalopods that can be found in the ocean, scouring the globe. Using a combination of slides, photos, videos, quizzes, collaborative boards and other interactive activities we will learn about these fascinating animals. No prior knowledge or experience is necessary. I am readily available to answer any questions either by posts/messaging on Outschool, or by an arranged meeting if needed. The homework for each module is required to have a photo taken of it and posted in the classroom and feedback will be provided. In this self paced class, each module students will look at a number of different cephalopods and will end up covering over 100 animals. The first 3 weeks focus on octopuses, the next 4 weeks focus on squid, and the last two weeks focus on cuttlefish and nautilus. I will be providing a module specific Canva link for the slide presentation after the class video and a link for Quizizz. No signup is necessary. The student will be provided a code/link before class which they can use to go directly to my classwork. We will also be viewing a few videos from the Monterrey Bay Aquarium Research Institute and Nautilus Live YouTube channel that pertain to the animals being discussed (permission received from both). There will also be printouts to reinforce facts and vocabulary learned. Includes a crossword puzzle and search-a-word. Every module there will be an assignment posted for the student to work on and submit.
