Week 1Lesson 1𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 & 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰Learners will have an opportunity to introduce themselves to one another and review concepts from the previous level.Week 2Lesson 2𝐏𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧Learners will learn about enharmonic equivalents, and transposition, and be involved in a guided listening activity.Week 3Lesson 3𝐑𝐡𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐦In this lesson, learners will continue to develop their knowledge of time signatures, the anacrusis, the sixteenth note, rest, beams and stems, dotted notes, and completing measures with rests. There will be a guided listening activity where learners will be able to apply the concepts they learned in this lesson.Week 4Lesson 4𝐒𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬Learners will continue to develop their knowledge of scale patterns and new keys, melodic phrases, writing their own melodies, and minor scale patterns and new keys. There will be a guided listening activity led by the instructor.Week 5Lesson 5𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐞Learners will be introduced to music composed by Johann Sebastian Bach through a guided listening activity where learners will continue to develop their knowledge of music terms and signs.Week 6Lesson 6𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐬Learners will develop their knowledge about perfect and major intervals and the minor third. They will also learn about Andante.Week 7Lesson 7𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐝𝐬Learners will learn about tonic triads, dominant triads, functional chords and their symbols, root/quality chord symbols, and how to write their own melodies. There will be an in-class guided listening activity led by the instructor.Week 8Lesson 8𝐏𝐮𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐭 𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐓𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫Learners will participate in a guided listening activity that applies all the concepts learned in this class series along with a final quiz to test their knowledge.
