Hello, my name is Sonja Finley-Tratos and I love teaching as much as I love learning! I have a bachelor’s degree in Communications and more than 20 years teaching in some degree. I began by teaching creative dramatics for fifteen years to students ages 5-16. Then I taught at a private elementary school for seven years (one year in first and fifth grade then six years in fourth grade). During that time, I taught all academic subjects and directed the school-wide holiday programs and musical plays. Summer camps were full of art, drama, cooking, and board games! Additionally, I have taught online as an ESL teacher for almost three years. I have actively participated in community theater for more than 30 years; enjoying all aspects from acting and directing to building sets and photographing shows. 

My goal is to make learning fun. It is my belief students learn best when they enjoy what they are learning. I want my students to ask all kinds of questions because the confidence that comes with learning is life changing. I work to make my classes a safe comfortable place to learn and explore all things. I have experience with a variety of curriculums and learners, including advanced students, students with learning differences, and English language learners.
