Students will be introduced to debate and persuasion tactics to introduce skills useful in any field, and the class will focus on these skills, such as identifying logical fallacies, supporting/citing information, and respectfully considering other viewpoints. Everyone must be able to express their ideas so they can be understood, my goal to is use the metaphor of pets to help students learn the skills they need in their futures.
