In this live class, students will be introduced to how to care for our cats. They will learn the history of domestic cats and how cats became common household pets. We will discuss how cats can help us. Students will also learn about different breeds of cats and how to care for pet cats. They will interact virtually in class with the teacher's pet cat. This class will be teacher led with pictures and slides. We will have a show and tell at the beginning of class showing their pet cat or telling about their favorite kind of cat. Come meet friends that like cats like you do!

I am Mrs V, as my classroom students call me. I teach phonics, grammar, science, math, and music classes. I am licensed to teach kindergarten through 6th grade. I also have a minor in music. I taught preschool for 6 years and I did student teaching in kindergarten, 2nd, 3rd, and 6th grades. I have worked part time in the public school system for the last 5 years. I homeschool my two youngest children and enjoy finding fun new ways to teach things. I also teach ESL classes online. I believe that including the student's interests into the lesson engages the learning and makes learning fun and more easily attainable. Fun, hands on activities and games provide an engaging learning environment. My hobbies are animals (I live on a small farm), music (I minored in music), reading and crocheting.
