This ongoing class will be an interactive exploration of music with an ocean theme. Learners will have experiences with music theory, playing rhythms, singing, movement, age appropriate music composition, music listening/history, and related crafts. There will be some thematic songs and activities that will be consistent throughout the club meetings, but each week can stand on its own. Learners will move to the beat, read and play simple rhythms, compose simple rhythms, sing songs and describe classical music. National Music Standards *MU:Cr1.1.2b Generate musical patterns and ideas within the context of a given tonality (such as major and minor) and meter (such as duple and triple). *MU:Cr2.1.2b Use iconic or standard notation and/or recording technology to combine, sequence, and document personal musical ideas. *MU:Pr4.2.2b When analyzing selected music, read and perform rhythmic and melodic patterns using iconic or standard notation. *MU:Re7.2.2a Describe how specific music concepts are used to support a specific purpose in music.

Learners will be informally assessed on a variety of music skills depending on the week attended.成績が提供されます
Learners will need some household items to make their own instruments, coloring supplies, and scissors. There will be some materials to download as well. A more detailed weekly list will be added as the dates are closer. Learners can use a percussion instrument or found instrument during class.
