Class Experience: Hello Artists! I am Ms. Ally and I can’t wait to meet you! I am so passionate about Art and Crafting. I have experience working with children and youth of all ages. In my art classes I will show you techniques such as shadowing, blending and how to create dimension in your paintings, we will also work on creating new colors with mixing the colors you have. In this class we will begin with introductions, a supply check list and get right into using acrylic paints to capture the subject in folk art style. You need some prior experience for this class such as holding a paintbrush and using paints. I will be guiding you 100 % of the way. Along our adventure creating the cat painting, students will be introduced to brush and painting skills that will be utilized well in all painting classes in the future. These include but are not limited to: creating dimension facts about painting mixing colors blending colors shadowing with paint cleaning your brush while painting My teaching style is very laid back and I enjoy open discussion time.

Children at all age levels can benefit from painting. Painting enhances creativity, increases fine motor skills and teaches children color recognition and hues.
