Castles, the history, the adventures--what made them what they are today and why are we so fascinated by them will all come alive in this class. We will look photographs and videos of castles in England and what makes them so unique as well as the history about them. This course will be lecture-based. We will be focusing on the following castles in this course: Week 1: Dover castle (a medieval castle/ fortress) near the White Cliffs of Dover in Dover, England Week 2: Leeds castle in Kent, England Week 3: Windsor Castle (royal residence-- where British royals stay) in Berkshire, England Week 4: Warwick Castle (medieval castle) in Warwick, England *Homework is given but is optional. * Also you can request a new time if you need a different time slot. *Classes are subject to change
