Deciding about your future, let alone your career path can often feel a daunting task for teenagers.

This course is designed to take the pressure off these big ideas and take an inside-out approach. After assisting hundreds of young people in getting excited about school, improve their grades and focus on a future direction, I have compiled a course which progresses at a steady pace with the pressure of not having to ‘get it right.’

Students will begin by looking at their personality, their gifts and the way they are wired up. They will eventually learn how to tie all of these things together to form a mission statement.

Course Outline:

1. Industry (Students find out what need they are most interested in meeting in society)
2. Gifts (Students discover their top 3 gifts)
3. Personality (Students discover how they are wired up)
4. Verbs (Students identify their 3 most compelling verbs)
5. Cause (Students identify the cause they are most passionate about)
6. Heart (Students identify the audience they want to contribute to)
7. Mission statement (Students will form their mission statement to guide their career direction)
8. Vision & Plan (Students will learn how to create a vision of what the future could look like)

How will this class be taught?
This class will be an interactive class. Questions and interaction is encouraged. 
The lessons use the platform of keynote. There will be slides and short (2-5 minute) video clips and students will have the capacity to interact and discuss their learnings with each other.

No background knowledge required. 

Homework will be in the form of action steps.

Learner progress will be evaluated with quizzes and accountability with the action steps.
