We will learn to use watercolors. This painting has us working on creating a soft background while bringing focus to the birds in the trees. How to use the correct amount of water to paint will be discussed. What brushes work for different effects will be explored. We will talk about how to create a focal point, foreground and background. Students will learn how complimentary colors can make a painting pop. Mainly, we will play with the colors and have fun, with a little color theory...
Students will learn blending, hi-lighting and shading techniques along with some color theory. They will learn how to use their brush, be encouraged to mix colors and have fun!
Trained in watercolor, acrylics and oils, I have been painting, and teaching art for over twenty years. I am always inspired by my students individuality and creativity.
