This course is meant to serve as part one of the Chemistry 101 course for students. They will learn about the basics of chemistry. I like to have an interactive class whenever possible. There will be some lecturing, and I will make use of google slides to teach and show concepts. But students will have opportunities to work problems and discuss the new concepts to check their understanding. Class 1: Defining Chemistry, properties of matter, physical vs chemical properties and...
Homework will be optional. I will have extra practice for topics like electron configuration, writing, and balancing equations. This will be for those students who need extra practice or parents who want extra practice for their child. I will be available to review the material if needed as well.
