In our class, we will discover and study the stages of a life cycle. We will look at several different life cycles of living things. We will take a close look at the stages of butterfly's life. We will learn about the important vocabulary word that describe the stages and the amazing metamorphosis! Learners will have the chance to share and interact with what they know about butterflies and expanded our understanding. Together in class, we will order the stages of the life cycle. We will even sing a song about it and use hand motions to accompany the stages! Learners will be able to create their own butterfly life cycle crown. Finally crown creation will happen after class. We will dance, move, and sing about to our butterfly life cycle live in class. Crown create is completely optional. Crown creation requires learners to print out our handout, cut, glue, and color. ⭐️Depending on the life cycle stages in my butterfly garden, we may even have a LIVE visit from a caterpillar, chrysalis, or butterfly!! I cannot guarantee a live friend will appear in class⭐️

Please support and monitor learners for safety while cutting with scissors. Pictures for the life cycle crown can be cut out previously to class if learners are not able to be supervised in class.

I have recently teamed with my local garden provider and butterfly program to help raise Monarch caterpillars for our area and education program. At home, we do a lot a hands on science and butterfly education! We are helping the butterfly population numbers to rise. We have raised and released 100s of butterflies from our own backyard!!
