By Bill Martin Jr. and Eric Carle. During this class, your child will be introduced to the parts of a book. Next, I will read the story to the students, who will be encouraged to read the repetitive phrases in the story along with me! We will also review colors and animals...
Students will learn about the parts of a book. Students will practice pre-reading skills such as reading from left to right and top to bottom. Students will understand words represent a spoken word and convey a message. Students will answer simple questions about the story. Students will describe elements in a story, for example, characters and/or setting (time, place, and/or environment).
