In this class, scholars will bridge into 5th grade math skills. My teaching style is friendly and interactive. We start with a math game to warm-up our brains and get more comfortable with each other. As we work through each skill, I encourage questions and help students feel safe to make mistakes as we grow together in knowledge and ability. Students will be able to individually select 5th grade math skills for practice or engage in every lesson to learn all 5th grade math skills ranging from understanding place value of whole numbers and decimals; adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing whole numbers and decimals; algabaic reasoning; geometry concepts; as well as measurement conversion and data analysis. Each lesson will be designed to keep scholars engaged and having fun while learning and practicing math skills. Students will look forward to class and finish with greater confidence and ability in 5th grade math.
