ＣＵＲＲＩＣＵＬＵＭ

Each class engages and challenges gifted learners. Much like people go to the gym to strengthen their muscles 💪, students come to Caroline Wise Academy classes to strengthen their minds. 🧠 Students learn skills that empower them to adapt to our ever-changing world. Classes focus on the following learning goals:

  ▪️ 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆: practice techniques that help in the search for innovative solutions
  ▪️ 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴: learn strategies for rational decision making
  ▪️ 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: work effectively in group situations, both as a leader and as a member of the group
  ▪️ 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: recognize one's individuality and develop metacognitive skills

In class, I help each student feel safe, so they are comfortable participating and taking intellectual risks. 


ＥＸＰＥＲＩＥＮＣＥ

With over a decade of teaching experience and a master's degree in gifted education, I bring a wealth of expertise to our virtual classroom. I spent years in a traditional middle school gifted classroom before moving to the exciting world of online learning, where I’ve not only taught but also served as an education consulate and curriculum writer. With certifications in gifted, English language arts, and social studies, I am well-versed in crafting engaging learning experiences.
