~Decide on the type of business they'd like to create
~Create various business documents based on their business idea.
~Create a collage.

My education and professional experience as an English teacher have given me the knowledge needed to teach this class.

~Master of Arts in Education: Curriculum and Instruction, Reading Specialist Certification
~Licensed English/Language Arts teacher in New Jersey
~Taught Language Arts and English in middle and high school, respectively; taught reading classes
~Incorporated study skills and reading strategies in classes at all levels
~Created a reading program for special needs high school students with learning difficulties
~Over 20 years as an educator serving various learning communities as a licensed English and reading teacher, special education teacher for students with learning difficulties, adjunct professor with James Madison University (VA) teaching science literacy, and Curriculum Specialist for a high school in NC providing curriculum assistance and training for teachers in all subjects.
~In the private sector, I created a tutoring service where I provided in-home tutoring for students who needed supplemental reading assistance, homework organization, and study skills strategies.
~I co-created an evening tutoring club with other teachers within my church community. I facilitated the study skills and study sessions for middle and high school students.
