Join us for this fun, highly energetic, and interactive book club. During this nine week class, we will meet once a week to discuss and revel in the fourth and final book in The Wingfeather Saga… The Warden and the Wolf King by Andrew Peterson. You do NOT want to miss our book club discussion of this beloved bestseller! The main characters are incredibly inspiring and courageous. The tale is deeply adventurous, full of intrigue and suspense, but not frightening. It is truly a delightful read, and will leave your student eagerly awaiting the next book! Full of characters rich in heart, smarts, and courage, this series is a tale children of all ages (and their parents) will cherish! All winter long, people in the Green Hollows have prepared for a final battle with Gnag the Nameless and the Fangs of Dang. Janner, Kalmar, and Leeli are ready and willing to fight alongside the Hollowsfolk. But when the Fangs make the first move and invade Ban Rona, the children are separated. Janner is alone and lost in the hills; Leeli is fighting the Fangs from the rooftops of the city; and Kalmar, who carries a terrible secret, is on a course for the Deeps of Throg. Monsters and Fangs and villains lie between the children and their only hope of victory in the epic conclusion of The Wingfeather Saga. In this multi-day class, we will meet once weekly for nine weeks to dive deep into the fourth and final book in the series. During class time, full participation in class discussion is expected. There is grace for a shy student, of course, but students will be encouraged to dive into the discussion as they acclimate to the group. Each student will have a turn to share their thoughts and ideas. I will have questions and discussion prompts ready each week, should conversation lag. After our discussion time, we will end with a game if time permits! My book clubs are typically highly engaging, highly interactive, very lively! Chapters will be assigned to be read ahead of time, before class. There are 96 relatively short chapters in this book. The book is also available as an audiobook! All of class time will be dedicated to discussing the books, applying critical thinking, discussing characters, plot, and other literary aspects, etc, and ending with a fun game, all related to the book. Our last class will be a book party! Snacks are welcome and encouraged! I am creating book clubs for each book in the series! Stay tuned! Week 1 - Please read chapters 1-12 BEFORE class! Week 2 - Please read chapters 13-24 BEFORE class! Week 3 - Please read chapters 25-36 BEFORE class! Week 4 - Please read chapters 37-48 BEFORE class! Week 5 - Please read chapters 49-60 BEFORE class! Week 6 - Please read chapters 61-72 BEFORE class! Week 7 - Please read chapters 73-84 BEFORE class! Week 8 - Please read chapters 85 - 96 BEFORE class! Week 9 - Please finish any remaining reading you have left!
