In this multi-day class, we will meet once weekly for six weeks to read, discuss, and revel in the new Anne series adapted by Kallie George! The gorgeous illustrations and simpler language (but not too simplistic! bring the young adult series to emerging readers or younger girls eager to get acquainted with Anne! This adorable series is too delightful to miss! Each week we will meet to discuss one chapter book. During class time, full participation in class discussion is expected. There is grace for a shy student, of course, but students will be encouraged to dive into the discussion as they acclimate to the group. Each student will have a turn to share their thoughts and ideas. I will have questions and discussion prompts ready each week, should conversation lag. After our discussion time, we will end with a game if time permits! My classes are typically highly engaging, highly interactive, very lively! Books will be assigned to be read ahead of time, BEFORE class. There are five books so far, with the sixth releasing in August of 2024! All of class time will be dedicated to discussing the stories, characters, plot, and other literary aspects, our favorites, etc, and ending with a fun game, all related to the book. Our last class will be a book party! Snacks are welcome and encouraged! As a long time friend of Anne Shirley, I am wildly excited to share my love of all things Anne with my own daughter and my students! I’d love to facilitate another generation of girls that love the series!
