Due to the content of certain reading selections, politically and culturally sensitive topics will be discussed during various sessions with some topics being heavier than others. We will routinely approach highly sensitive topics including state-sanctioned violence, police brutality, criminality and systemic oppression. The course educator has undergone significant Diversity, Inclusion and Sensitivity trainings to properly support students in understanding and processing this information. Sessions where tough topics will emerge will be preceded by a content warning.

Google Classroom and/or our Outschool Classroom will be used to share reading guides for each text, and Google Slides will be used in screen-share mode to present information on the novel's author, themes and other relevant information.

Youtube Videos will be embedded into Google Slide presentations shown in screen-share mode.
