I have over 15 years experience teaching anatomy and physiology, which includes topics (such as wounds, blood, death and drug use) that are sensitive to some learners.  At the beginning of class, all learners are made aware that I am open to questions and that the chat is always set to private for any questions or comments.  This course is primarily an anatomy class.  Sensitive topics such as cannibalism and body modification will be approached from an anatomy-physiology-factual standpoint.

My experience in teaching started when I was in high school as a math and ESL tutor.  I majored in life sciences at Queen’s University in Ontario with a minor in psychology.   I moved to North Carolina and practiced for 5 years as a chiropractor and acupuncturist before starting a family and embarking on a second career as a university instructor.  I have been teaching anatomy & physiology and medical terminology for over 15 years.

An optional study guide can be downloaded or printed out before class to help the learner follow along in lecture.  Study guides can be completed during class time.
