I welcome learners of all identities and backgrounds into my classes. This class is for students who have taken my other beginner piano classes, including the "Hands Together" class ( level 2 extension class). At this point the student should be able to find the notes on the keyboard, play some basic melody songs, and play chords in the left hand while playing a melody in the right hand. These skills are necessary for this class. We will learn some new fun songs for right hand and left hand playing. New chords will be introduced , as well as some new bass line patterns. We will cover various styles of music, with different tempos, different feel, and cover a variety of musical forms. The student will have an opportunity to be creative and do some improvising. There will be a light introduction to music theory, and musical terms.

They will have the opportunity to create and improvise.
The students will learn some major scales and at least one minor scale. They will experience playing in major keys, as well as in a minor key.
The student will increase in self confidence as their mastery of the keyboard increases.
