Being Weird is Wonderful! Just ask Molly Lou Melon! Learners will read the story "Stand Tall, Molly Lou Melon" written by Patty Lovell and illustrated by David Catrow. Learners will draw a self-portrait in the style of Molly Lou Melon to remind them that what makes them weird makes them unique and what makes them unique makes them who they are!
- Students will define the word "unique."
- Students will increase their self-esteem by thinking of the "weird" things that make them special.
- Students will create a Molly Lou Melon inspired self-portrait and list the ways they are unique.
