CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) words introduce students to the magic of transforming simple sounds into words and is an important part of any pre-reading program. When your little learner has mastered letter names and the majority of sounds they are ready to learn how to segment and blend CVC words. I have a degree in Elementary Education (K-6). I have taught 2nd and 3rd grade in a public school setting, as well as, children from all around the world online!
-A printable handout(s) for students will be provided 24 hours prior to class. -Students will need something to write with (pencil, marker, or crayon). -Occasionally students will need a glue stick and scissors (OR pieces cut out before class) -OPTIONAL: whiteboard with dry erase marker and eraser to practice letters/words etc... This is a way students can show the teacher and make small corrections quickly if needed. Also, they are fun to use!
