The class is over parts of speech along with writing detailed sentences. This will include: nouns, verbs, articles, adjectives, and adverbs. Each week we will cover a topic on how to improve our sentences. We will also be discussing how to edit sentences including correct punctuation and when to use uppercase letters. The class will be interactive. The students will be participating throughout the lessons. This will happen through games, questions, discussions, and more! Students will need paper to participate in writing sentences, which will will share with the class. Students will be expected to sound out words in order to write sentences, so they need basic phonics skills. It is ok if spelling in not always correct, but they need to be able to try to spell words phonetically (based on sounds).
