Eye pins in any design and color that your student likes.  2" is best because it leaves extra room for practice.

French ear wires in any design they choose.  It's probably best to match the color/metal that you chose for the eye pins.

Selection of different beads of student's choice (Make sure the bead holes are large enough to fit over the eye pins but that the holes aren't too big and would fall off the bottom of the pin.)

(It's much easier to made earrings with separate tools but to save money you can purchase a 3 in 1 Tool from Bead Landing or any craft store brand instead of the 2 pliers and wire cutters.  Make sure that all 3 are included in the tool.)
