Knowing and understanding how to find measurements of various shapes are an essential part of geometry, and math in general. For this class, students will be taught about finding the area and hypotenuse of triangles. The key to knowing how to find the area and hypotenuse, respectively, of triangles is first knowing the basic definition of angles and triangles (including the six different types). Included are their parts, degrees (90, 180, 360, etc) and how they form. Then we will cover the mathematics and formulas. This will include the measurement and equity of the sides, along with operations such as squaring, finding the square root, and fractions. Furthermore, the Pythagorean Theorem will be explained and defined. 

This course will be done via PowerPoint slides, with a supplementary video about parts of a triangle. For some fun and application to real life, examples of shapes such as baseball fields and buildings will be used.

I utilize videoconferencing, audio, videos, whiteboards, and various e-learning techniques for young learners, as well as adult learners.  Other areas covered in my courses include algebra, geometry, physics, HTML, and instructional design. students from kindergarten to the 12th grade. I have an MS in Instructional Design and Technology, with 10+ years experience. I have written and published three technical books on Amazon. In November 2018, I received my TEFL certification. My goal has been to not only develop courseware but to also experience teaching. I believe teaching is the core of effective instructional design. In my spare time, I watch and analyze basketball, partake in social matters and advocacy, exercise, write books and articles, do landscape paintings, and work on interior and exterior housework.
