In this ongoing class we will learn the basics of sign language from the alphabet to having basic conversations with one another. As this is a class for beginners, there is no previous knowledge of American Sign Language needed. They will be learning the basics of sign language by watching me and practicing by talking with one another. Structure of the Class 1. We will start the class by learning each sign for the alphabet by watching and practicing. 2. Next, they will learn how to sign their name and introduce themselves in sign language to the other students by signing, 'Hello my name is ______. 3. Finally, your student will learn basic conversational signs such as 'How are you', 'Thank you', 'Please', 'What is your name?', and 'Nice to Meet you'. 4. After learning these phrases, the students will ask each other the questions and answer them in turn.

Students will learn the American Sign Language alphabet and basic conversational phrases. They will be able to sign their name and introduce themselves properly.
